23rd Croydon - Montgomery Group Arnhem Linked 1987
It gives me great pleasure on behalf of the 23rd Croydon Scout Group to extend the hand of friendship to friends from the Montgomery Group, Arnhem.

When we all became members of the Scout movement we also joined the Worldwide brotherhood of Scouts and it is with that thought in mind that we say Welcome brother Scouts to England and to Croydon in particular.

We are looking forward to meeting you all and hope that your visit to our country will be both enjoyable and memorable one.

I feel that the association formed between our two groups will help strengthen the strong links that already exist between our two countries  and towns.

Greetings to you all.

1992 Montgomery Group Merge with De Geuzen Group Arnhem

Since 1987 the 23rd Croydon have been successfully linked with the Montgomery Scout Group Arnhem, Holland.
In 1992 it became necessary for them to seek a merger partner.
This resulted in their merger with DE GEUZEN SCOUT GROUP, ARNHEM.
The Group are confident that this successful link will continue for many years.
