The Den our headquarters is in urgent need of refurbishment and adaption  to provide better facilities for the Group, and   bring the premises into  compliance with the current Building, and Health and Safety regulations.
A committee was set up to raise funds to achieve this aim. Plans have been drawn up and submitted, and have been approved by the local Authority.  Since then the Fund has slowly accumulated in spite of the recession and has now reached half way to the amount needed to start the project.

At this point in time quotations are being sought from local Builders to undertake the work that will be done in stages. The work we hope will start in the not too distant future. Should any one have any connections to either extra funds or the labour required to build or assist in the building,   please let us know through the Web Site, we would value hearing from you

The Guide Hall Love Lane was purchased by the Group in 1964 with funds raised  by the Cubs,  Scouts, Leaders,  Parents, and supporters of the Group  by the collection of waste paper at the time when a acceptable price for waste paper was being paid  due to the shortage of such material.  Unfortunately that opportunity is not available to us any more.
