Comments of our Senior Patrol Leader:
I started with the Scouting Association when I was around the age of 6. I went from Beavers to Cubs to Scouts. I have been in Scouting since I was 10 1/2 and I have earned all of my challenge badges. Once I attained these I qualified for my Chief Scout Gold Award. I have also been awarded the Mike Weston "The Digger" Scout of the Year Award 2014. I was awarded this because I completed my challenge badges, and through a series of other activities and things I took part in this year. It was a great honour to achieve these awards. Scouting is really great. I enjoyed going off to different campsites and participating in activities within those camps. The leaders are a whole load of fun and I will miss Scouts as I met a lot of my best friends in Scouts. |
